Receptionist Qualifications and Requirements

HOURS: Monday – Friday 6:45am – 3:45 pm (these hours are firm) Every other Sat 9am – 3pm
(Evening hours required while training classes are in session 6:45pm – 8pm one day a week)
Job Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalence
- At least 18 years of age
- At least 2 year customer service / receptionist experience
- Must love dogs and cats and be able to walk on a leash and carry cat carrier
- Must have computer experience, Ms Word & Excel (will be trained on custom business software)
- Ability to edit and reformat memos and other documents
- Ability to prioritize tasks during the day, be self-starting
- Ability to multi-task and have outstanding organizational skills with attention to details.
- Ability to work with customers, staff members, and animals simultaneously.
- Ability to lift at least 35lbs
Job Duties:
- Open the business for the day
- Greet and welcome customers and their pets in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Operate telephone and direct all incoming calls, providing information, taking messages, scheduling, and maintaining appointments / reservations in a friendly manner.
- Have a professional, positive attitude, enjoy working with people and be a team player.
- Making outgoing phone calls, faxes, and email throughout day.
- Using proper language and having exceptional communicational skills while presenting self in an appropriate manner.
- Route faxes and messages to the appropriate person or department.
- Determine purpose of customers visit and direct to appropriate person or department.
- Check-in all grooming, daycare, boarding and self service pet wash customers and bringing the dog/cat to the proper destinations. (Lifting various sized dog/cats throughout day)
- Monitors and process the customer service e-mail account.
- Receiving payment and recording receipts for services and merchandise.
- Perform administrative support tasks, such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, operating: calculators, credit card machine, fax machine, copier, computers, invoicing, and other documents.
- Hear and resolve complaints from customers in a professional manner.
- Alphabetize, file and maintain records.
Cleaning Duties:
- Maintaining inventory and cleanliness of shop.
- Sweep, mop and dust lobby throughout the day to maintain a clean and welcoming environment
- Laundry, cleaning bathroom, picking up after animals, keeping lobby clean at all times etc
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Shovel, sweep and clean up outside as needed throughout the day
- Dust and sanitize reception counter and desk at end of the night
Daycare / Lodging Counselor Qualifications and Requirements

Job Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalence
- At least 18 years of age
- At least 1 year of animal experience
- Dog Daycare / Boarding experience preferred
- Must be a team player with great communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and have outstanding organizational skills
- Must have a keen eye for details
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and able to stand for long periods of time
- Must have professional appearance and demeanor
- Must have patience and genuine care for animals
- Must have high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Hours: P/T Shifts Mon-Fri 6:45am-1pm or 1pm – 6:30pm, Sat & Sun 2 boarding shifts minimum.
Job Duties:
- Supervising and interacting with dogs while they play
- Clean up after dogs that have eliminated inside or outside
- Read instructions on chemicals and perform tasks per those instructions
- Walk dogs outside on a leash for a potty breaks making sure they are secure at all times
- Perform all duties in a timely manner, using safety precautions
- Use proper language and having exceptional communicational skills while presenting self in an appropriate manner.
- Read instructions on the dog care cards and perform duties per those instructions
- Take care of dog’s needs – feed & water dogs, administer medication, walk outside for potty breaks, and play with them.
- Disinfect and sanitize dog suites & boarding facility, fenced in pet grounds and more
- Operate clothes washer & dryer machines, mop, dishwasher and vacuum machine
- Inventory supplies
- Perform all duties in a timely manner, using every safety precaution
- Assists customers and staff members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Assist other departments.
Bather Qualifications and Requirements

- Must have high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday 7:45am-3:00pm.
Job Duties:
- Perform full bath services or preparatory baths for grooming staff
- Operate shampoo machine, tub, cage dryers & blow dryers
- Operate washer, dryer machines and vacuum machine
- Wash animals to our high standards
- Blow dry animals completely dry
- Use knowledge of shampoos, conditioners and other tools to ensure optimal outcome
- Fold laundry and organize shampoos, conditioners and other bathing supplies
- Inventory bathing supplies
- Read instructions on the bathing sheets, shampoos, chemicals and perform services per those instructions
- Walk dogs outside on a leash for a potty breaks making sure they are secure at all times
- Perform all duties in a timely manner
- Perform all duties using every safety precautions
- Use proper language and having exceptional communicational skills while presenting self in an appropriate manner.
- Clean up after animals that have eliminated in cages or on the floor and walls
- Maintaining inventory and cleanliness of bathing room.
- Vacuum, Mop, take out garbage, poop scoop yard
- Assists customers and staff members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Assist other departments.
